>įri thru sun: beach fest at the seaport: the seaport brings the beach to you with the return of its annual beach fest, where seaport square will be filled with sand, beach chairs, live performances, dj sets, and food trucks. museum of the moving image (astoria), $15 general, $11 seniors/students. the series will include special introductions, discussions, a spoken word showcase, and a dance party featuring dj wiz of kid ‘n play, dj ultra violet, and bossman. please check with the venue’s website and/or social media for updates before heading out.įri thru 10/21: real rap: hip-hop star power on screen: celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, the museum of the moving image highlights rappers who have performed on the big screen with screening series featuring a dozen films from the 1990s to the 2000s, including baby boy, house party, just wright, new jack city, poetic justice, 8 mile, and others.
